So this week is about finished. Well i thought of this idea when i was eating a cookie, but the cookie is so good that i didn’t want it to be finished. It was fresh out of the oven and it was hot, and the cookie just melted in your mouth. And you can’t resist but to keep eating although its obviously bad to eat so many cookies in one day, but your mouth just keeps watering when you smell the aroma of fresh baked cookies, and its just sitting there asking you to eat it. So i made a chocolate chip cookie out of band aids, and the bites that were taken until the end, where all thats left is crumbs.
I thought about how the semester is ending, and all the hard work we put through the semester, and our work in all of our classes, its now finished. Its done. All that work is now going to pay off for the better, or for some bad. How im tying it to band aids is that when band aids are done with their job, the wound is healed. And as for the end of the semester and for some maybe the end of their college career, the professors have done their job in pushing, helping, teaching their students to strive til the end. Thats what band aids are for, their there til the end until the wound is healed, until it doesn’t need a band aids help anymore.
So this year is one year before my graduation, and i know a lot of my friends are graduating this may. Its an exciting but sad thing, so i made a diploma out of band aids, the first one is the diploma and the second is the one they hand you all rolled up.
So all throughout my schooling from K-12 I always got what was called a progress report (aka report card) it showed your progress throughout the quarters of the year. I remember how i always started out really bad, then by the end of the year i’d pull up my grades in some of my classes.
i remember back in elementary school that we always got these ribbon awards for most improved, or 1st place in the field day activities. Or best grade in our class. I was got excited when i obtained one of these awards, i thought the ribbon was so cool. So i made a ribbon award saying #1 out of band aids.
So i know that i struggle with weight loss , and i know most girls do as well. And a while back before i came to college, i was at a happy weight, and i made progress. i showed improvement on my eating habits, and weight loss, and became healthier. Here is a picture that shows progress of a person’s body.
So since this week is progress, this recent week i’ve been applying to jobs and looking for jobs around campus. And i thought back to my past experiences at my other jobs at home that i’ve had, and how at one job i was promoted to assistant manager, and got a raise from $7 to $9. And at Calvin Klein i got an annual raise as well.
My philosophy of life is like a band aid. There are times where people get themselves in trouble, and whether emotions are hurt, or someone’s physically hurt, its still pain. And what do we do when we feel down, upset, or sad? we turn to someone to heal or something to heal correct? Well thats when the Band aids come in. Through the sticky situation (the sticky part of the band aid) its there to heal, and be there whenever you need it. For however long it may take to heal things. People are flexible to help you in your time of need (referring to how band aids are flexible, but yet durable). Although everyone has problems of their own, i know best friends are always there to listen, or to help out whenever you need it. Whenever you get yourself in a sticky situation, pull out a band aid, and know that it’ll always be there to help you heal, and it’ll stick with you til your pain is gone.
philosophy means love of wisdom in greek, and since im Chinese and I got this idea from the ying and yang idea, I thought I’d write love and wisdom in Chinese out of band aids.
This is what the characters are supposed to look like.
Since this weeks about Philosophy, and i know some girls buy the facial products Philosophy. here is a picture of a philosophy bottle squeezing out a philosophical quote.
